In mythical stories, the hero is called to embark upon a perilous journey to find the treasure, slay the dragon, or rescue the damsel in distress. This quest will take him/her through a dangerous labyrinth where he/she ultimately comes face to face with his/ her deepest fear in the form of mythical animals, creatures, or challenges – like Jonah being swallowed by the whale, or Psyche crossing the river Styx to retrieve the box of beauty from Persephone. And it’s not all scary, there are treasures and helpful creatures along the way, like the cave of jewels discovered by Aladdin or a magical genie that makes your wishes come true.
In watching this, may you receive a transfusion of inspiration, hope, confidence, reassurance, and life-affirming, off-the-charts grace that your own hero’s journey will be a more conscious and joyous one than ever before!
Xoxo Kelly & Rassouli
Rassouli is a known artist who lives in a swirling energy of creativity that is always changing and shifting, giving us new visions and reminding us of the power of creativity as a way of life. He is a writer, an architect and a creativity guru whose mission according to him is to spread roses to make people feel good.
Rassouli lives in Southern California, but his spirit is at home dancing around a canvas bringing a painting to life, laying beneath the stars at night looking for inspiration, writing books and essays on the creative process, scanning the universe for beauty and sharing it with others in countless ways. His works reflect the shifting light and color of love and his visionary ways of expressing the alchemy of this transforming energy.
His countless paintings reflect the beauty in which he was raised, in the streaming vibrations of the playfulness of the mystics, listening to the voices of some of the great lovers of the world, as he whirled with his beloved Sufi uncle, who guided his education. Rassouli was surrounded by the artistry of tapestries, innovative architecture, intricate paintings, and the beauty of gardens, classic sculpture, and the enchanting dancing of the Sufis in sync with the turning world. His creativity is grounded in the gaze of the beloved as he lives the vigil of love through a surrendered heart.
Within the past thirty years, He has exhibited widely in the United States, Europe and Asia and has created several major murals. Rassouli’s art has been featured in numerous books and periodicals, including several books that he has written and are available at bookstores and on the internet. He guides others in retreats, shares his approach to creativity through public talks, in radio and television interviews, in videos and films, but nowhere does he witness to his creativity more magically than through his paintings.
