A Broken Heart is an OPEN HEART. ~Aurora Winter
If you’ve been devastated by the recent election results and feel at a loss as to what to do with the pain…please don’t repress, but EXPRESS yourself…and alchemize it into beauty.
If you know me you know that I am generally an optimistic, sunny-side up kind of person, who can always see the bright side of things…
But that’s not been the case for the last few (post-election) days.
My heart has felt like a tractor ran over it…I’ve been so heart heavy, heart sick, and heart-broken…the way I felt after September 11th…devastated.
As a firm believer that good can come from even the most horrible circumstances, I prayed to be shown something to DO with this pain…something positive…something that could help me and others get to the light at the end of this dark tunnel.

In the process of putting this info together for you, I thought I’d let you know that my heavy heart feels lighter. I believe it’s true that when we get into motion toward our creative spark-even in difficult times (especially in difficult times) we access higher ground.
Einstein said, “You can’t solve a problem with the same mind that created it.”
When we are creative, we are in our right mind. And when we access our creativity with the intent to alchemize our pain into beauty, we will discover not only how we will survive this challenging time…but THRIVE in the face of it!
Can’t wait to see you there!
The following is information about our 2016 service programs this December:
CHIMEIN (The Change Is Me International ChimeIn.org ) is an organization of Youth Ambassadors, ranging in age from 16-25, this year representing India, Ecuador, Guatemala, and the US.
After an incredible trip last year, we’ve decided to return this December to pick up where we left off. TECHO and CHIME IN will be working together again in a unique leadership development opportunity that will center around building 5 homes for 5 families in need (who are currently living in a Guatemalan slum). TECHO, a youth led non-profit organization in Latin America and the Caribbean that seeks to overcome poverty in slums, through the joint effort between the residents living in slums and youth volunteers. Our program in Guatemala will take place December 13-19th.
We will also go to Colombia to build compostable, sustainable toilets. Benjamin Swatez, Chime In Mentor and International Mural Artist, has arranged for us to work with Viracocha, a nonprofit in Colombia, to build compostable toilets. Benjamin has worked with this NGO in the past and is excited to lead a trip back to this area. Our program will take place from December 4th-11th.
